Yesterday (Wednesday) Vincent and I were on our way back from Salt Lake City and things were going pretty well, that was until the dreaded sign from above....."I-15 closed at exit 364? Major Accident" Usually we have a road map in the car for times just like this, but not this time. So we moved slowly along with the other traffic as everyone was trying to crowd into 2 lanes. Now being pregnant I also have the urge to pee more, and well Kyle decided that he would join in the fun and had his way kicking at my bladder. I am telling you that it seemed like forever until the next exit, I was just happy to have decent music to listen to. We finally get to the exit and I make a major mistake, I didn't realize that if you went right off the exit you were turning into Hill AFB. Lucky for me there is the visitor center so you can get your pass, etc. I knew that they had a bathroom, so I ran inside and released my bladder and boy did it feel good! However, this added more time to our driving. I had to turn around and go the other way, I had to wait for a semi who made the same mistake that I did to make a u-turn. When I finally got to the light I was excited, hoping traffic passed these two lights moved a bit quicker. Well I got stuck at the light only because some women in a truck decided to block the two lanes. Being a good driver means that you pay attention to your surroundings, the lane next to here (the one I was going to) was open. All she had to do was pull into that lane instead of waiting to go to the furthest lane, and she wouldn't have hindered the flow of traffic. Needless to say I was heated as she was blocking traffic (while I had the green light) I was slowly creeping up on her, hoping she would get the drift. Nope, she just sat there, and then my light turned RED and now I was stuck in the intersection (but I wasn't blocking traffic!) I was grateful for the two semis that came down the off ramp at the same time and let me grow through, but I was still on edge. I think I was complaining for a good 5-10 mins about this Idaho woman driver. However, I did have a happy ending. We finally had caught up to them and looked over and her husband (I assume) had made her move to the passenger seat and he was now driving, and neither one of them looked to happy, but that put a grin on my face!
So please be a good driver and pay attention to the road and other drivers around you.
