Time is flying by!

(I promise I was just really tired, this was taken at like 6:30 am)
Your pregnancy: 33 weeks or 8 months pregnant

This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

It's amazing to think about how much this little boy has changed in just a few short months. When I hear the term 33 weeks I don't think of it as 8 months. When I look at it in terms of months it seems longer. I feel blessed to have this little boy coming into my life, as does Vincent. We can't wait to meet our little Lacrosse star (and soccer too). I will be happy when he isn't beating up on my insides, man some of those movements really hurt.

This summer is gonna be a really busy and stressful time, but I know in the end it will all be worth it.
