Living in an apartment puts limitations on gardening, but that still isn't going to stop me. I may not be the best gardener there is, but at least I try. I figure one way to cut cost is to grow my own food and herbs, especially tomatoes. Let me tell you this, there is nothing like the smell of fresh basil. This time around I had a little helper named Kyle, okay so maybe he wasn't such a big helper and played in the potting soil but it was fun. I can't wait to see how everything turns out. We planted: tomatoes, zucchini squash, straight neck squash, red leaf lettuce, broccoli, basil and mint, plus red, green and yellow peppers. Kyle has his own little green house things that have eggplant and cucumber.
