29 Weeks Down...11 more to go

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

How momma is doing:
So far all is pretty good, I really can't complain. I have only gained 7lbs so far this pregnancy, but I still have 2 months to go. Nice thing is I know that it is all baby weight.

Vincent and I are really excited to meet little Kyle. I have the pleasure of feeling him all day long, but it will be nice to be able to hold him.

I have finally registered with the hospital, and I plan on taking a tour in the next week or so. Everyone has told me that this is the best hospital to give birth at. From what I have seen the rooms are really nice and it's only about 10 minutes from my house.

Some people may disagree with me, but I have opted not to take birthing classes. I have talked with several different recent mothers and 1/2 say they helped the other 1/2 say that at the time of labor it was hard trying to remember what was taught and not really worth it.
If the classes were free I would so totally be for it, but they are not and they last for weeks. Plus Vincent wouldn't be able to attend them with me because of work.

In the next coming weeks I really need to start finalizing my birthing plan, maternity leave, and get the rest of the items together that I need for Kyle. It doesn't seem like much, but it really is a lot to do in 11 weeks. I really should say anywhere from 9-11 weeks because he could come as early as 2 weeks before my edd. At my last ultrasound he was measuring 3-4 days ahead, so you never know.

Not only that Savannah is coming out this summer, so we have to plan that. The question is who is she gonna visit first, us or pawpaw. I would much prefer her flying here first, cause I don't want to have to take a trip to Vegas to pick her up. Plus Vincent will be going through his 7 week training or just finishing up and we can't afford to take the time off.

So much to do and so little time, how will it all come together. And the next question becomes how will I handle it all after Kyle is here and I am working?
